Buaya

Most of my readers think I am a buaya. According to commonly accepted Malay proverb, buaya is crocodile. But literally.

***

Buaya is a guy who physically seems faithful to his partner. In the absence of any looking eyes from people known to the buaya, he will unleash the buaya characteristics. Bounce forward and crunch his prey ;- female prey, into his mouth.

Statistics shown that 92% of my reader think I am a buaya. A colleague of mine said I am legend in courting girls at supermarket.

But looking from my current situation, I guess the readers need to pass the buaya crown to other deserving guys.

Oh, nothing. Just out of boredom and stress. I am looking forward for the weekend at Kota Kinabalu.

Creativity

At first glance, I thought it is an oil rig.
***
It used to be one. Now it has become a 23-room resort for diver. Located offshore Tawau, nearby Sipadan.

I was wondering whether it is susceptible to WID.

Haha!

Ranau Roadtrip

When the stresses at work push me to limit, this is what I do..

#1 : Trying to jump off the cliff overlooking Mt Kinabalu

#2 : Attempting 10m freeboard at Kundasang War Memorial

#3 : Tried looking for toilet in vain, but I am finally relieved.

#4 : Harrassing the green kelah at Luanti

#5 : Calculate how long it takes those guys to run to the peak of Mt Kinabalu

#6 : Attempting to repair PL118 at Poring hotsprings

# Finally, washing away the recent bad elements surrounding me into the pool! "choy, choy!"

MEnd pulled out at last. Seems like Poring is proven a good place to wash away bad elements!

Of over-shot, open house, Wendy, Martin and Tamparuli

Waking up at 10.00 AM, forgetting a meeting at XXX is not my fault. It is "Saturday's fault"!

So I decide that I must get out from the border of Kota Kinabalu city today. Where to? Wendy & Ezra's open house at Tuaran, 45 minutes away from my rented unit in Kepayan.

Don't worry, wz. That is not Natasya's baby. She is not able to make one in 4 months time
since her posting here.

Tamparuli country side with many cows grazing
This is the new Tamparuli bridge, built after the previous one been washed away by strong current.

And to prove that I am in Sabah at the moment, I post a picture of me
and the Ranau's lengui of Unduk Ngadau.. (Wendy yang suka gaduh dengan Martin)

Upcoming plan next weekend : Poring Hot Springs

i'm going to bed

Hours of non-stop live band. All up-to-date songs. Hot chicks everywhere. Just that it's without a bed. I wonder what happen next if there are beds.

I'm really going to bed now after a few drinks.

Red Beans

Hong Dou

I haven't yet experienced
The feeling of a wintry snowfall
We will tremble together
And better understand what gentleness is
I haven't yet held hands with you
To walk across this untamed desert
Perhaps from now on
We will learn to treasure eternal love

* Sometimes sometimes
I believe that everything has an end
In meeting and parting there are times
Where neither will last forever
But I sometimes
Would rather choose to love and not let go
Until we've seen all there is to see
Perhaps you'll spend eternity with me

I haven't turned the red beans
Into persistent scars
To be shared by us both
So we can better understand the pain of unrequited love
I haven't yet experienced
The warmth of a waking kiss
Perhaps around me
You have begun to pursue a lonely freedom

I Like This

When everything is computerized, life's good!

I downloaded this MAS e-Timetable while waiting for my flight to Miri at 8.40 PM. Apparently the flight was delayed for 30 minutes. I was cursing like hell when all I want is just to reach Miri on time at 9.35 PM and call it a day.

Not anymore. Hahaha I sounded like an advertisement!

This is the welcome screen.
(From this picture I deduce that almost all pretty MAS cabin crews are Malays)

Set your origin and destination and press "Enter". Pooff all flight schedule comes out!

Check the details and make a booking!

p/s : At least this time around MAS is able to soothe my frustration by offering this e-Timetable!

Reasons I Love Bidor

It was a hot summer afternoon that I couldn't stand the heat anymore. My first thought was to take a cold bath, but how about a cold drip at Lubok Degung?

Not a bad idea that few of my friends shared my "vision" to swim there. Necessary equipments: None. We brought along 10 packs of Sunsilk introductory shampoo packet for hair wash. Why 10 packets? We love to share. We will generously throw a packet or two to acquaintances interested in joining us. Anyway, it cost us only a mere 40 cents per packet.

Gas up the motorbike tank and we are ready to go. Lubok Degung is one of the top reasons why I love Bidor so much. If I cite friends and family as my top reason, Lubok Degung will be the next.

On how to go to this waterfall:
  1. At PLUS Highway, turn into Bidor exit.
  2. Turn right at traffic light intersection, immediately after Bidor exit toll. (Notice Kari Kepala Ikan Salim at your right hand side.)
  3. Go straight and turn into Jalan Paku.
  4. You will pass by Chinese cemetery on your right hand side at Jalan Paku. On the opposite side, you will see housing estates.
  5. Next you will pass over an overhead bridge across PLUS Highway.
  6. All the way deep into Orang Asli settlements.
Don't worry if you got lost. Orang Asli here is very friendly and they will be more than happy to lead you the way to Lubok Degung.

However, I will not bring friends who don't grow up in Bidor to this waterfall. It's too dangerous that according to the locals and Orang Asli, drown victims are those who come from nearby town. Some of the victims are from as far as Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Well, if you don't believe in superstitions, then believe in statistics from the old wise men residing in Bidor.

To offer my explaination, I think swimmers from Bidor are more familiar of the place. They know each and every corner which is dangerous and take extra precautions.

Some arrogant swimmers jumped from the bridge into the water and hit some boulders in the water.

Don't spoil the fun just yet, because we still have Sungai Klah Hot Springs Resorts, 25 minutes driving from Bidor town.
