"Infected" by HER

Life is totally upside down when you are single and jobless. I sleep at 6 in the morning after the rooster calls. Wake up at 10 AM to drive grandpa to Ipoh Specialist Hospital. Back just in time for lunch at 2 PM. A nap at 4PM will bring me towards the end of slumberland.

At 9, the most accurate biology clock in my body ticks. The stomach is crying for food.

Yesterday night was really weird. I've decided to eat "fried hor fun" at the very moment of waking up. Without a single word to my mom, I grabbed the keys and head towards the town.

***

I turned off the keys and took off my helmet. The next thing I saw are the green patches of turf beside the perimeter drain. Green stimulates. I start to think about fresh coconut.

Actually, there are plenty of them hanging in their bunches behind the house. But WTF, plucking fresh coconut at night! (Ironically, it's easier to satisfy my craving for fags)

At 10, this is my own dinner. Mom is not responsible for this. She is in her slumberland by 10. Hahaha!

RM 3.50 for the fried hor fun while the coconut is fresh from the farm. By the way, that hawker is kinda famous in Bidor. Situated at Bidor Bus Station. Have a try if you happen to pass by.

Hunting For Teluk Intan Chee Cheong Fun

Bidor is just another transitory town for KL dwellers. During the day, Bidor is quite a busy town where the traffic jam can be quite terrible, especially during festive seasons. At night, few would go out and only the Chinese kopitiam will be lively. Mamak? Oh no...I have had enough of mamak food at Tronoh.

Both me and Joanna felt so bored that we decided to travel to Teluk Intan to meet up with our mutual friend there. And we wish to try the famous "Chee Cheong Fun" too. (<==== This is our real motive, actually. Shhhhhhh! )

The famous Teluk Intan Leaning Tower

Thanks to our local Teluk Intan boy, Seang Yik, we had the best Chee Cheong Fun ever. Too bad, no pictures taken as I do not fancy taking pictures of food. I rather help myself with the good food served hot on the table.

However, don't pass the guilty verdict on me for not "tapao" for you. Let's go together next time! Don't worry coz' I know Teluk Intan road quite well.

p/s : Rojak Ah Chai is quite famous too.

Farewell to Mahen and Shern Shiou

Finally exams are over. No more books for now and of course it's time for happy hour together with friends. Stars for the night are Mahen and Shern Shiou, who has completed their studies in UTP for a total period of four(4) and a half year. While for me, I have another one(1) semester to go.

We had our farewell dinner in Diners' Arm Ipoh, situated near Padang Ipoh. It's quite a cozy place. Honestly this is my first time to a so-called high class diner place. We took a lot of pictures, but unfortunately they have not been uploaded for sharing in mIRC.

This is the only picture I managed to grab from Siew Mei's Facebook.

After the dinner, all of us took pictures together for remembrance. The highlight of all pictures is Beh and Set Lee.

Picture credit to Wei-zhu who snapped Beh and Set Lee quietly with his camera phone. I think there are more beautiful shots taken that night, so I shall upload them as soon as I get them.

Next agenda for the night is karaoke at Ipoh Parade. Somehow it made me think of my internship period in Cheras. It has been long since I sing out loud to my throat. Beulah and me sang " Kau Ilhamku". Sigh..what to do. I am English educated thus I couldn't sing any Chinese song. Yes, none. I am a banana.

Karaoke close early that night because it was a weekday. The night is still young, so we settle down in a coffee house situated behind Ipoh Jusco to quench our thirst. We ordered 8 bottles of Carlsberg and got 2 free EURO2008 mugs. One for Mahen, and another for Shern Shiou.

It never crosses my mind that they wanted to play Truth or Dare. The details : CLASSIFIED.
