Travelling. Waiting.

These 2 words are too routine in my daily list now. I have always said to my friends "Eat breakfast in KUL, offload in BKI, all in a day." Trips to KUL getting more frequent and at times I have to fly in twice a week. Travelling took too much of effective man-hours that I have to steal my personal time for work. 100 hours a week is not surprising from my office gate time-track. Oh that is inclusive of weekends.

I'm trying to make a difference to my workplace. Many things are not in place for the past 10 years. My personal commitment (apart of work commitment) is to make the change and to set up the facilities. It is now 1 year and 7 months since my first day on the job. The gauge is now at 70% completion with ETC in March 2011. Changing things along the way is not easy as my workplace is famous for being laid-back.

By then, I have delivered my promise to my superior on the day I stepped into Level 6. Looking forward, I would be searching somewhere else to contribute. Most importantly, somewhere that gives me better pay with work-life balance. (Mom is nagging me to find her a daughter-in-law. Sorry mom not now~)

I could not afford the original battery pack which could set me back by RM700.00. Ta daaa~ I bought a compatible battery from Low Yat. Albeit different rating, it still pass the acid-test. The compatible pack lasts 2 hours on maximum LCD brightness. Bravoo~

Carried 12-14 kg of load on my back, taking 12 hours to reach Gunting Lagadan and severe altitude sickness to endure along 8.5 km route to the peak.

I made it to the top.

I had 7 tablets of Actifast while ascending, and 2 before descending.

It's 7.4 degrees Celcius on the peak at 0830 hrs. It could be 4 if not because of the sun. A skinny Caucasian took off his shirt and said "Ohh, it's warm!"

My heart screamed, "You bloody motherf*cker.."

Slapped the green board to mark my reach at 4095.2 m. And yeah, 8 is now my magic number again.

Libau nick-named Kota Kinabalu as "kota keriangan". Roshan has previewed Kota Kinabalu weeks before their trip here. Hanum is getting to know every UTPian that I know. And the web is expanding. Roshan booked Libau's flight ticket on the same day he is due to land here. All has became "kota kesedihan" when Libau was turned away from T2 without realizing the wrong itenary at eleventh hour.

Roshan left yesterday night. Libau left hours ago with a new itenary.

Perfectionist

I've asked 5 persons about it and they say I can be a little pushy to attain perfection. Well with that statistics, I couldn't dispute it anymore.

I find a single dot of dust in my room unacceptable. I will spend 20 minutes everyday, checking and cleaning my room. I term myself perfectionisme induced germophobia.

I want the arrangement of my stuffs in room to be in perfect order, but I had to forgo it now due to work commitment.

I want my partner to be good looking, good in kitchen and good in, ehem you know where. So far I couldn't find any more possible candidate.

Similarly, I want my car in perfect condition, but unfortunately it has lost its "virginity" from the backside yesterday. The slight collision took away my first wife in Sabah. (So-called first wife is at the west side). The gaps are out of the default fitting, especially between the tail-light and the bumper. The incident is combo to my problem with JPJ just 6 hours earlier.

Oh to mitigate the streak of bad lucks, I promised myself to become a vegan for one day. It is very unfortunate too, that I forgot my word after 12 hours. I had an egg and 2 pieces of chicken for lunch.

Life's too ( please insert a better word than "colorful" ) across the South China Sea.

Perhaps I should ignore irrelevant small details aside and learn how to settle for slightly less than perfection.

Forgetting The World

Forget about stressful job, forget about the long flying hours, forget about dangers of night-drive without proper rest beforehand.

And we zoomed up to Genting Highlands from Bidor, minutes before half-past eleven. Thick fog and we barely see the signboards leading to the parking. But my initial step into First World Plaza invoke a lot of memories.

Who cares if we collectively lost RM3000? (BTW I lost RM200 only) We laughed our way into the casino, and we laughed our way out.

We left at around 6.00 AM. Had an hour nap at Batang Kali Shell station and a good breakfast at Sungkai. Combo with 2 hours of laughter again during breakfast.

The moments shared are priceless, as if we have forgotten the world this morning.

Bloody KTM ticketing officer!

Yes, Malaysia boleh. Semua boleh. Everything boleh. Now 1Malaysia. Performance first.

I need Intercity ticket from KL Sentral to Sungkai. So I go to the ticketing counter and ask whether it is still avalable. An ugly looking m*therf*cker is manning the counter. Okay, I forgive him for being so ugly and being an eyesore.

"Sir, good evening. Malam ni, ada tak lagi tiket Antarabandar ke Sungkai?" I asked. After a few click on the mouse and a few taps on the keyboard, "Sudah habis, encik."

SOS call to my brother at Seremban, asking for help. He asked me to take Shuttle instead of Intercity. Okay, I said. I walk back to the counter, and an average looking Malay girl is at the same counter.

"Hi, cik. Ada tak lagi tiket Shuttle or Antarabandar ke Sungkai ke, Ipoh ke, Tapah Road ke..? Saya nak balik Bidor." To my surprise, "Sungkai pukul 8.00 malam? Ada lagi. Ekonomi ataupun second-class?"

"Kak, second class la. RM13.00 kan? Thanks for the effort untuk cari tiket saya ni."

I proceed to the purchase counter, and to my suprise again, the same ugly m*therf*cker is attending to me.

It is spontaneous that my facial expression turn to the "fiercest, displeasure, angry, fuck-face, nak-kena-jolok-kah, anak-haram-ko" and gave him a stare of his life.

And I asked "Sir, what's your name?"

He gave me RM37.00 of change, although I handed only two pieces of red notes to him just 2 minutes ago. My ticket cost only RM13.00

Yesterday.

Well, I had very good appetite for dinner last night with 5 beautiful girls surrounding me. Haha Ieja thanks for the treat!

Jalan-jalan at City Mall.

This is Pesta Perkahwinan Kota Kinabalu held in City Mall. They are doing showcase of A-Z marriage packages. I think it's all-in, including the venue of the banquet, photos and bla-10x.

The best part is that a middle-aged lady is looking at the bride, literally without blinking her eyes. I guess she's remisniscing her olden days, imagining herself in that pretty dress.

Martin complained that the models are too skinny, while I think they are just fine. The girls (READ : the model bride) kinda turn me on!

It's a Waja 1.6M, year 2005 with 65000 km of mileage. Standard specs with no modification. CD player included with two additional tweeters mounted on top left and right hand side.

I consider this my convocation present, which I need to pay for. My dad bought this car weeks ago for me, and I will service the loan to him!

RM2000 exact, to ship a car from Port Klang to Kota Kinabalu. You (1) drive the car to Port Klang, (2) bring the car registration card and (3) a photocopy of car owner's identification card (I/C). (4) Somebody will call you when the car reaches the destination port. They will enquire you for verification before handing the car keys to you. (5) Only 3 days is required to ship the car from Port Klang to Kota Kinabalu, plus additional 1 day for customs clearance and administration nitty gritty.

I downloaded this MAS e-Timetable while waiting for my flight to Miri at 8.40 PM. Apparently the flight was delayed for 30 minutes. I was cursing like hell when all I want is just to reach Miri on time at 9.35 PM and call it a day.

It is puzzling how my luggage turns out this way at Kuala Terengganu Airport. Okay, I accept human error or machine error, causing damage to it.

But I can't accept lazy MAS officers that is not willing to take my report. Damn, it's their duty to serve the customers!

I am now left with 2 options; one is to get a new one under 5 years warranty from luggage manufacturer or two, to get a new luggage from MAS.

California Pak. It is a hassle to carry the luggage to KLCC on my next trip there. Waiting period is 2 weeks because the seller at Isetan need to bring the damaged luggage back to their supplier's office.

MAS. I doubt whether they will replace an exact luggage or just a cheap bloody China made luggage. However, it is convenient because I only need to drop this luggage at Lost & Found at KKIA.

I don't know how to describe today. Friday 10th July. Today is full of challenges, full of accomplishment, full of emotions.

Starting from the morning.

I have to a chair a meeting with all the top guns. I must admit I need to get myself comfortable in the future.

Afternoon 2.30 PM.

I'm inside a meeting with the top guns again. With those with experience as old as myself. With top guns that can roll out millions in contract. The experience is enriching.

Afternoon 5.00 PM

I managed to secure my super-senior counterpart's commitment to expedite some work in SBO. When and where? While charging up niccotine inside smoking room Level 17 PETT 1.

Evening 7.15 PM at KLIA.

I got a 9.50 PM ticket in my hand. Because I don't want to reach Kota Kinabalu, I queue up for standy-by at Counter B17. As the thirteenth guy on the queue. Never mind, I know I am always lucky to get standy-by boarding passes.

Man, I'm the last one to get it! Yes, again for the 7th time. A 7.50 PM boarding pass in my hand. Weee~

Night 8.30 PM on board.

Damn, I was cursing myself for boarding this flight MH2628. Reasons?

#1 - Turbulence
#2 - I am the toilet-guard again at seat 26E
#3 - MAS serve chicken briyani again!

Night 10.30 PM at Immigration.

Nervousness overcame me. Yesterday, I had some problems with Immigration. And today I don't want the same situation to repeat.

Oh, but it turns out okay! I got the entry slip without any problems. Yeehaaaw~ (Anyway, I am still Malaysian although Sabah is an autonomous territory of the federation.)

Night 11.45 PM.

Home sweet home..Eventhough it has only been 2 months since settling down in Sabah, I would love to call this place home.

p/s : Leather shoe sent back to Isetan KLCC for repair/warranty. Hopefully I got a new one instead of repair! :P

‘Ray of hope’ that turned out to be a nightmare

Mr A, a volunteer from a non-governmental organisation who goes to the home every Sunday to clean and feed the residents, opened the locked door at the back of the block and we were stunned by what greeted us.

About 30 stark naked men were inside the room, either lying down or sitting on the wet marble floor. In one part of the room, we saw a pool of blood, still fresh and red, on the floor.

Half of the men were locked behind bars like animals in a zoo while the others were able to move about in the front portion of the room. Those in the “jail cells” were segregated so that they would not harm their non-violent roommates.

“Those who are accidentally placed inside the cells with the more aggressive residents would be beaten or abused,” the volunteer revealed.

Most of them looked no older than 50 but they were just skin and bones and some looked extremely frail. One resident was lying on his stomach on a wooden bench and had passed motion; we almost gagged at its stench.

Fans were installed inside the room for better ventilation but that was the only luxury the men had. There were no beds, no toilets and not even blankets to keep them warm on cold rainy nights.

Those who were not in the “jail cells” were given beds but without any mattresses or pillows. They were, however, chained to the bed frame with metal chains and a steel lock.

We were told by a volunteer that they were restricted to prevent them from hurting themselves. The volunteer also shared that the men were not given any clothing as they had used their shirts to strangle themselves or the other men in the past.

After a briefing by Mr A, we got down to work. We were put in charge of spreading mats and towels on the floor.

The volunteers were all given different tasks. A group of about six or seven men were in charge of bathing the locked-up residents, the women were in charge of preparing the food and feeding the residents while the rest (there were two children in the volunteer group) were in charge of cleaning up the place and washing their clothes.

The residents were hosed down with water and soap by volunteers dressed in construction boots and a water proof apron.

After that, the male volunteers carried the naked men to the front part of the building for us to towel dry them.

After sensing our discomfort, a female volunteer nearby said: “It’s okay, they’re just like babies, you know, they don’t know anything.”

We proceeded to wipe them dry one by one before we were told to feed them with the yong tau foo bought by one of the volunteers.

The food was mashed to bits and mixed with soup to minimise the need to chew and to make feeding an easier task. so that the residents only needed to swallow them.

As we fed them, some ate obediently while others were greedy and stuffed their hands inside the bowls to take out larger portions of the food.

Some volunteers reprimanded the greedy ones who crawled towards the table to help themselves to more food. We noticed that some of the mentally disabled residents liked to hit themselves repeatedly. When we tried to stop them, they would fight back or just hit their body against the floor.

Mid-way through feeding, some volunteers suddenly rushed over to a young resident whose head was bleeding profusely. We were told that the boy had slipped and fell.

The volunteers immediately dressed him up, put him on a wheelchair and sent him to a hospital nearby.

After mopping the floor, we took a break and noticed that the residents were taken back into their cells to be locked up again.

It was nearly 4pm when everything was done. The residents were all bathed, fed and the place was clean enough.

We asked the volunteers what would happen to the residents on weekdays when the group was not there to offer their help.

“The caretakers don’t do much. There are only two of them while there are 50 residents. If it’s time to feed them, they would just walk one round with a bowl and feed whoever wants to eat. Those who don’t are left alone,” answered a volunteer.

She divulged that another charitable organisation had brought food for the residents but it was thrown away. “When the group asked why they did such a thing, the caretakers said that the residents would create a bigger mess if there was more food because they would defecate more often,” she said.

After the voluntary group had left, we stayed back to check out the other blocks.

The women’s wing looked cleaner and did not smell as bad but a handful of the women were seen walking about in the nude.

The two caretakers stationed at the block were seen watching TV and chatting.

We noticed that the women’s clothes were laid out to dry on a dirty floor caked with fungus. We walked over to the children’s block which seemed to be the best kept part of the home. It was decorated and there were proper beds. But the children were curiously quiet.

A volunteer claimed that the children were fed with cough syrup so that they would be sleepy and docile.

It's your father, mother and kids..you animal! For what you have done, I hope you rot in hell!

Recently I have acquired a new hobby. Oh, maybe I can call this a habit. You know, life has just started here and it somehow induces some weirdness into my habits.

Collecting souveniers from the hotels.

I got them from Concorde and Traders KL. People's perception is that those who bring away the shampoo, conditioner, body lotions bla 10x before checking-out are cheap-skates.

I find these mini items good enough to decorate my empty cupboard deck.

Yes it is. New car by RM2500 - RM3000. And second hand car by RM7000 - RM8000. I take an example of 2005 Waja found here and in Perak.

Ohhh food price here is slightly expensive, if you make a comparison to KL. However, I attribute this to high living standard in Kota Kinabalu. (Oopss I am not answering the question here.)

Does Sabah people speak Hakka? (Oh I hope Sabah is not a Chinese Hokkien-majority town. And I speak broken Mandarin.)

In town centre, I heard people speaking Cantonese, Hakka, Mandarin, Hokkien and local languages. I am surviving here by speaking Bahasa Malaysia to everyone, including Wendy Sylvera Wong in my office. (p/s : She's cute!)

My mom and dad "accused" me of setting up my own "make-shift toilet" behind the house 12 years ago, that my golden shower has actually caused the progressive corrosion of the steel drain cover today.

A charge that I strongly deny with a burst of laughter, and to be diplomatic, I taichi-ed the allegation to my younger brothers. While maintaining my innocence (I am really innocent), the deplorable state of the steel drain covers became an eyesore.

And it can be dangerous because mom is utilizing the backyard to cook, a few metres away. She might trip and fall.

Out of boredom, and due to availability of raw materials, I started a new "out-of-boredom-project". This is a long-due project since January 15th.

CODENAME : Projek Longkang - RC Slabs and OPC Patching

The outlet of toilet floortrap (FT) below is an example of my sub-standard patching work, BEFORE and AFTER.

While the next picture is the consequence of skipping Concrete Technology practical work during 2nd year of college.

However, the subsequent slabs casted improved aesthetically and structurally, thanks to the guidance of the senior Lee. His advice; poke the concrete so that the cementitious grout can flow and fill in between of the aggregates.

To "talk-cock", I am pretty confident the slabs can withstand the load of a 1-tonne lorry.

DUBAI Lilypad Floating City

By now, most of us have heard about the Island Cities being built in Dubai , but Inhabitat has just done a feature on a new concept by artist Vincent Callebaut for a self-sufficient floating city that will never have to face a problem about finding land to build on. The "Lilypad" would take advantage of all of today's green technologies, including generating power from the sun, wind and water, and would produce zero emissions from its residents. Don't expect to see construction on one of these anytime soon, but don't be surprised if, like the Island Cities in Dubai , real estate starts branching out into the oceans in the next decade.

Before softwares to assist users in downloading YouTube videos sprung up, I relied on web-based downloader which are not always reliable. Some of the downloaded files are also not recognized by my computer. I got even more disappointed when I have lost the link of the video because the videos are usually MTV of my favorite songs.

Now, I am using YouTube Downloader to directly download the video files into my computer. Simple and practical. These 3 words fully describe this software. Beside downloading, it can also convert the video file into other formats such as mp3, wmv and mov for Ipod Video.

Here are some screenshots of the software.

You only need to hit Ctrl + C on the YouTube link in your browser and the URL will be automatically entered. Hit the Ok button and zoom you go. (You might need to wait for a moment)

A window similar to download window in IE will pop-out. It will prompt you to choose the destination directory. Press Okay and the download will start. The downloaded video will be in *.flv format, which can be played if you have VLC Player or appropriate video codecs installed in your machine.

And if you wish to convert the flv video into other formats, choose "Convert video (previously downloaded) from file".

If you are Chinese, please don't name your kid Yit Foong. The name belongs to the number #1 wh*re in Perak. The "toh sui kah" (shame-bringer to family) name will "toh sui" your kid and you, too. She will surely be discriminated and even cursed to death. Shame to you again, nobody will sell veggies to you in the market. Grow them yourself at the backyard.

Let just be realistic here. No matter who is in power, who is the MB, we still need to work hard to earn a living. "While who's in power does not make much difference to our lives", decide by voting for CAT (Competency, Accountability, Transparency).

Okay. What Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna, Pussycat Dolls and Beyonce Knowles have got in common?

All of them was banned from performing in Malaysia (At least, initially).

Yes, Avril was allowed proceed with her concert days before Merdeka.

And Pussycat Dolls' escaped when their promoter, Absolute Entertainment paid a RM10 000 "indecency fine". Know what Absolute Entertainment did to deserve this fine? For allowing the female US act to perform "sexually suggestive" routines which amount to "gross indecency". Hahaha these chicks are simply too hot for the Malaysians!

And then, Linkin Park were banned from wearing shorts during their 2003 concert in Malaysia.

Mariah Carey was being asked to comply with "dress regulations".

So, Gwen Stefani revealed only next to no skin during her tour to Malaysia.

But Beyonce is way smarter. She dumps her debut concert in Malaysia, so to avoid being entangled in the mess.

And the recent one, after their tremendous show at KL Sunburst, the group members of NERD were detained and their passports held. However, Malaysian authorities denied this. Fortunately, after some negotiations they are released because their promoters claim responsibility.

Some notes for SPM school leavers.

MARCH 12 - So, boys and girls, your SPM results are coming out today. Very good, very good.

You know, it wasn't that long ago that I took my SPM. Almost 20 years ago, actually. Anyway, back in my day, we had to walk 20 miles to school while carrying 30 books just to do nine subjects.

Then, TV only had RTM1, RTM2 and TV3. The boys dreamt of Wan Zaleha and the girls dreamt of McGuyver and both of them had the same hairstyle.

These days, you don't have to walk so far. You probably don't have to carry as many books either.

Because the schools are "smarter" now, eh?

You have computers, multimedia projectors, tablets, notebooks, laptops, CD-ROMs, DVDs, Internet, phone camera porn. Most schools have these things, we hear.

Even those that don't have electricity or running water. It must be fun. You also get to do more than nine subjects. Up to 20 even. That's a lot of learning.

Actually, maybe you do carry more books these days. That's probably why school bags have wheels on them now.

Anyway, the day has come for you to get your results. For the vast majority of you, this would be the bookend of your school days.

You'll never have to wear that uniform again. For a small number of you, you might get another two years of uniform-wearing. Either way, things will never be the same again.

For the next five years or so, you'll be hearing people tell you that you are the "Future Leaders Of The Nation" much more than when you were in school. It's banal and condescending, especially if it comes from politicians.

They don't want you to lead, they want you to follow. Politicians are liars. Well, most of them are anyway. At least 73.46 per cent of them, at the last count.

Some of you will be celebrating your results, especially those who targeted 27 As and got most, if not all, of them. That's great! Your tuition teachers must be delighted. Now, let's hope you get a chance to actually start learning.

Some of you will be disappointed because you didn't get what you (or what your parents or tuition teachers) aimed for. That's okay. No, really. In about 10 years' time, no one will care. Especially not you.

Hopefully, most of you will get to enter university. It's a very exciting time. You may think that nothing could top your school days, but take it from someone who stayed in university for nearly a decade, university days are the best days!

For one thing, people like to pretend that you're grown up (since you would someday be "Future Leaders Of The Nation") and occasionally even allow you to behave like grown-ups. For another, you get to party like there's no tomorrow because while you may be "grown up", you still don't have to earn a living.

Some of you might get into "campus politics". If you're in a local university, this is more akin to being in a social club than any kind of Future Leader training. Also, a small number of you involved in campus politics will actually acquire Socialist leanings.

This is normal because there will always be "politically aware" university students who are idealistic, tree-hugging, whale-mooching, commie wingnuts. You'll grow out of it eventually, though hopefully some of you will remain that way. The nation needs more nutjobs like you. It'll be better than the bunch of lying, self-serving gormless lot that we've got today.

Not all of them are lying, self-serving gormless reprobates, obviously. Some of them are much worse, though there are some good ones, too. About 6.49 per cent of them, last we checked.

However, in local campus politics, the majority of you will align yourselves with either a "pro-government" or a "pro-opposition" group.

I've no idea what those are, in all honesty, and most probably, neither will you. But you'll get to learn how to do "protests" and "demos", which are such important skills for local politics today.

You can, for example, protest against having mixed-race boarding; or against having any other race in your university, even.

You can also be part of a moral police, guarding the purity and sanctity of your campus by vigilantly watching out for couples making out behind shrubs, catching them after you've seen the "money shot", obviously.

If you're amongst the fortunate ones who get to go to a foreign university, good for you.

There'll be many clubs you can join, like Kelab Umno, Kelab Pas, Kelab MCA, Kelab MIC, Kelab DAP, and so on. In my humble opinion, though, avoid those clubs.

They're usually lousy with self-serving, gormless students who think that they're the Future Leaders Of The Nation. Join the gang that always goes to the night clubs and pubs, instead. They're much more fun.

But anyway, for most of you, university would be where you study to get a degree that would, to a certain extent, decide for you what you would be doing for the rest of your working life.

If somewhere in the middle of your university course, you think that what you're doing may not be right for you, have the courage to switch to something else, even if it means you lose a few years. It's not a big deal, and better to lose some years than to regret not doing something for the rest of your life.

If you can, get to see the world a bit. Travel to other countries, and not just to their beach resorts. Go to former war zones. No, not Afghanistan or Gaza or Iraq.

There are much nearer places like Cambodia and Vietnam. Ambon and Mindanao, even. Check India out, maybe. Go to Europe, Africa, the Americas too. In fact, just travel as much as you can. It often helps bring perspective. If you can't, it's not a big deal. You might still get to do it when you're much older.

Speaking of being older, I'm sure you're often told that wisdom accrues with age, and that you lack experience because you're still young.

Well, experience is mainly recognising your mistakes when you make them again. And looking at our Current Leaders Of The Nation, I'm not so sure about the wisdom bit either.

Finally, note that most advice given to you will be useless. They're usually given by most people who wished they'd listened to the very advice they're dishing out. Use what you can, ignore the rest. Some mistakes in life you just need to make yourselves.

How do I know these things? Well, I'm older than you. Just keep breathing, and you might get here some day too. So, all the best, ladies and gentleman, Future Leaders Of The Nation. May you make it a better place, for all our sakes.

However, I am too naive thus I don't how how Malaysian Bar can be related to economy at large. But this is interesting. Recession can be divided into technical recession and real recession.

While powerhouse like Singapore is admitting that it is falling into technical recession, Malaysian government is still too stubborn (Yes, I am using this crude term) and constantly in denial. One doesn't need a Bachelor's degree in Macro or Microeconomics to understand the current health of Malaysia's autopilot economy. And again while powerhouse like Singapore is implementing SD 13.6b or MYR 30b stimulus plan for its ailing economy, our country is boasting on its tiny MYR 10b stimulus package, which is yet to reach the citizen's pocket. The red tape is to blame for this.

To rub salt into the wound, according to MIER's Prof Dr Mohamed Ariff Abdul Kareem, there is 50% chances of Malaysian falling into a "full-blown recession" this year.

They can lock the Perak State Assembly building if they want. The building is not important. If the building is inaccessible -- say like there is a flood or an earthquake brings it down -- does this mean the State Assembly can’t meet?

Of course it can. It can meet anywhere, not necessarily in that particular meeting.

Go find another meeting place, tonight, now itself, and hold the meeting there tomorrow. Pass a vote of confidence to support you as the Menteri Besar. Then pass all the other motions, including the motion to dissolve the Perak State Assembly. Then drive up to Bukit Chandan as soon as possible and inform Tuanku of the State Assembly’s decision.

If Tuanku refuses to comply with what is clearly lawful, then challenge him and, if necessary, trigger a Constitutional Crisis like never before seen in the 52-year history of this nation.

The people are ready. The next ‘revolution’ is not going to be a race riot a la May 13. It is going to be a class struggle. And I am with the Rakyat on this, never mind my so-called Royal background.

My close encounter with this snake gave me the scare of my life. God damned it! It appeared inches away from my leg while I was squatting on the compound to wash my car. I hit its head with a stick and made sure it has already RIP before snapping it.

Anyone know what type of snake is this?

It may still be a baby snake, but who knows the venom is capable enough to kill!

Based on the anatomy, I think this type of snake is poisonous.

Bad news is, Cobras coexist with human dwelling areas, even in modern Kuala Lumpur metropolis.

As I am typing this post, the title reminded me of Beh (Niu^Kiu). It has been a 3 long months since I heard of his news.

Overall, this new year had been quite lean, compared to the previous year. However, still happening though many of my friends are on tight schedule. Most of them went off on Day 3 of CNY to return to office.

Countdown to CNY

20/1 - Went to KL on a night bus
21/1 - Report to ESU KLCC. Return to P.Ramlee Mall parking to realize that I got a punctured tyre. It was a nightmare! Savior of the day : Beulah!
22/1 - Bus tickets to Northern region sold out. Damn it! Same situation at Intercity KL Sentral.
23/1 - Drove home with elder and younger brother.
24/1 - Went to Segari to pick up Chin Li from NS camp! Yeayy finally I am in one of the NS camps~
25/1 - No booze with friends after reunion dinner. Had enough of red wine at home... Best part is gambling! (Btw, why must we gamble during CNY?)

Day 1 - Gambling again
Day 2 - Gambling again + some home visits
Day 3 - Gambling again + some home visits
Day 4 - Ceased gambling. (Lost too much $$)
Day 5 - TARC students return to school. Friends from public university returning to campus for mid-term test.

When Civil Engineering is Deemed A Bad Choice

Okay. This is a really big civil engineering project. It is being financed by revenues from oil palm plantation and rubber factory. A fresh graduate from UTP is needed in this project. The package will be completed by a nominated subcontractor, Pembinaan AhPek Sdn Bhd. However, procurement method is quite straight forward. No Superitending Officer, Consultant Engineers and Quantity Surveyor will be involved. The nominated subcontractor will oversee the planning, design, construction, and commissioning in this mega-project.

Pembinaan AhPek will have to report directly to client regarding the progress of work at site. Due to the nature of the access road and aesthetics, no machineries will be used. Hitachi EX200 will not be able prove itself to be superior to Sumitomo 280 in this piece of land belonging to the client. Neither flat-top Linden Comansa tower crane nor "construction king" CASE will be deployed to site. P&H mobile crane is deemed useless here, while the gigantic, 150 tonne Bauer BG36 will not bore any piles to avoid pile group settlement. All construction materials would be handled by manpower instead of using Manitau.

Worst thing is that, not even one single Bangladeshi worker will be working under the hot burning sun.

Repairing the perimeter drain, approximately 300 m run around my house.

Holy cow~

Works on site has yet to start due to problems in procurement of OPC. In simple terms, I am yet to buy the pack of cement needed to repair the damaged drain. (Main reason : Lazy to start work)

This is the worst damage along the perimeter drain due to chemical attack from soaps and detergents.

I'm not so worried about loss of fines since this retaining wall on the LHS of my house is still sound and no cracks wider than 1mm observed along this 20 m wall.

Paa..I am demanding salary for this! This will be a lump sum package and I demand a LA for this. I want payment to be made progressively because I am still jobless by now. However, don't apply LAD on me due to late completion. I have concrete reason to apply for EOT, such as force majeure.

DLP will be 10 years and I can be mobilized in anytime to rectify the damages. And because this is a simple job, hopefully you don't demand for Master Program and Network Diagram from me. You can do PPR and Earn Value Analysis to measure and control my work. Plus, you won't need a sound method statement for this, because I am competent! Put your worries some where else.

Sigh, I am a proud site-man, but not this~ PETRONAS, hire me faster!!

Life is totally upside down when you are single and jobless. I sleep at 6 in the morning after the rooster calls. Wake up at 10 AM to drive grandpa to Ipoh Specialist Hospital. Back just in time for lunch at 2 PM. A nap at 4PM will bring me towards the end of slumberland.

At 9, the most accurate biology clock in my body ticks. The stomach is crying for food.

Yesterday night was really weird. I've decided to eat "fried hor fun" at the very moment of waking up. Without a single word to my mom, I grabbed the keys and head towards the town.

I turned off the keys and took off my helmet. The next thing I saw are the green patches of turf beside the perimeter drain. Green stimulates. I start to think about fresh coconut.

Actually, there are plenty of them hanging in their bunches behind the house. But WTF, plucking fresh coconut at night! (Ironically, it's easier to satisfy my craving for fags)

At 10, this is my own dinner. Mom is not responsible for this. She is in her slumberland by 10. Hahaha!

RM 3.50 for the fried hor fun while the coconut is fresh from the farm. By the way, that hawker is kinda famous in Bidor. Situated at Bidor Bus Station. Have a try if you happen to pass by.

Generally Hepatitis spread from person to person through situations such as consuming food contaminated with infected feces, close physical contact with carrier, having sex with an infected partner, MSM and eating raw or partially cooked shellfish contaminated with HAV.

I went for Hepatitis testing last month and the medical reports revealed that I have "no evidence of past contact with the Hepatitis A virus" which means I am not infected with Hepatitis A.

Hepatitis B Surface antigen (HBsAg) and Hepatitis A antibody : anti HAV (IgG) are not being detected inside my body. I got an "egg" for Hepatitis B surface antibody (HBsAb) and it serves as an ultimatum, "YOU GO AND GET YOURSELF VACCINATED, ELSE YOU WILL BE INFECTED!"

I snapped my medical report from Gribbles Pathology as reference. I went for testing after knowing that one of my friend got infected from domestic sexual activities. He is known for not having hepatitis though he never went for vaccination. Discounting all other risk factors, he strongly suspect he got hepatitis from his partner, who has previously tested positive for HAV.

Go to the nearest clinic for consultation! Testing costs only RM30.00 - RM70.00 which is very affordable, considering that some cases of Hepatitis is incurable. For your rough budgeting, my vaccination plan consist of 3 jabs for HBV at RM40.00 per jab and 2 jabs for HAV at RM100.00 per jab in a period of 6 month.

I was updating to the latest version of Yahoo Messenger when I stumbled upon a prompt window to update to Adobe Flash Player 10. Another click on it bring me to Adobe homepage.

I was like, "wow" when the swf movie loads. This is the screenshot of the flash movie at their website. Code-named "Astro", it has many new expressive features and visual performance improvements compared to the previous version.

On my laptop running Vista Bussiness SP1, trouble it seems that the newly installed Yahoo Messenger did not detect Flash Player 10. Perhaps I need a restart before the new settings take effect.

A boring me looking at the indicator of Vaio Update 4. Internet speed has improved a little since the December last year. This time it's not one, but three broken cables nearby Alexandria. Hopefully, the authorities repair them fast enough.
